All levels. Learn to use oils in the traditional manner; direct & indirect painting, underpainting, use of mediums, solvents, glazing and finishing. Prepare panels and paper for oil painting or join landscape group. Start anytime!

OPEN AIR LANDSCAPE CLASSES - Saturdays 1:30- 4:30pm, weather permitting, This is an instructional class open air class; we meet in the studio for technical instruction or in the event of bad weather. Call to learn where we meet. We paint seasonally at: Botanical Gardens of Asheville, Amboy Park, city & state parks and public access, Blue Ridge Parkway, private gardens, and Great Smoky Mountains.

If the weather is good...temperatures in the southeast mountains can go as high as 65 degrees...there are many covered porches with a view so check the with the weatherman before you come and bring appropriate gear.
The Campbell Folk, founded in 1925, and a unique instution that seeks to bring out the best in people in a non-competative, supportive environment. The Painters' Craft
Penland School of Crafts only recently began to offer painting and easel art. This is a rare opportunity to paint in one of the most beautiful locations in Western North Carolina, located between Burnsville and Spruce Pine, with a rich tradition of craftsmanship and professional training.
